Sonya Gilb

H-TECH Counselor

Sonya Gilb

Ms. Gilb, our Conrad H-TECH counselor, has worked in the Dallas Independent School District for just over 20 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English at the University of North Texas and her Master of Education-Counseling at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Ms. Gilb loves working with students and their families to explore, set, and achieve postsecondary goals. She is passionate about the Early College Program at Conrad because it allows students to push themselves, strive alongside peers with similar goals, and believe through doing that higher education is both possible and attainable.  She strongly feels that education at Conrad is more than just academic; in working with peers from diverse backgrounds, H-TECH students develop a global perspective while building leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Ms. Gilb sponsors the Rising Leaders Service Club, is a Texas OnCourse Fellow, and volunteers for both Gates Scholarship and the APIASF Scholarship.
